CCP9 Conference and Community Meeting, Liverpool 21-24 April 2026.

The conference covered all aspects of electronic structure calculations in the UK, including fundamental theory, method development and applications. Important topics include: catalysis and electrochemistry, strong correlation and magnetism, high-performance computing issues, GPU use, AI in electronic structure. The conference will include a range of longer and shorter talks, a poster session and time dedicated to community discussion and networking.

This was a large conference (100+ participants) serving the whole UK electronic structure community, there were more than 50 talks and more than 50 poster presentations.  Poster prizes were awarded by the IOP.  The conference was very good for networking and we welcomed participants at all career stages.

The conference venue was located in the very centre of Liverpool, two minutes walk from Liverpool Lime Street railway station.  There was no registration fee; accommodation costs as well as a conference dinner were covered by CCP9.
